Many web site development comanies are reluctant to share approximate costs. We try to be a little more 'up front' about it.  Since we develop software and web sites for a variety of business types, the prices can fluctuate quite a bit.

If you are a very small business who needs a very inexpensive site (less than $500 development), we recommend you visit one of the 'site-builder' ISP sites.  For a very low cost, you can make your own site that can meet very basic needs. As for our sites, we try to keep them under $2500 plus the annual hosting fee. This includes all the design, analyzing your business, photos, email implementation, integration with your business and many more items. 

We have completed sites for about $700 (hosting extra) for simple 4-5 pages using a very simple design. Of course, depending on the complexity of the site, the sophistication of design and the number of pages and content, a web site can cost in the $3000-$5000 range.
